Paid Academic Leave Faculty may apply for paid academic leave for one semester. This is competitive. Currently, detailed information is on the Human Resources Page under Labor Relations. Unpaid leave is also available to part-time faculty, as well as medical and disability leave. Tuition Benefits Generally, for every course you teach, you or a qualified partner or dependent (under age 24) may take one course in open campus. However, if you, a partner, or dependent is enrolled in a degree granting program at The New School, you are entitled to take four (4) courses for every one (1) taught. There may be a tax liability. Software The New School offers the entire Adobe Software Suite free to faculty and students. Additionally, Google Drive with a New School account has unlimited storage. Additional hardware and software deals are available from the IT website Museums MOMA and The Rubin Museum of Art are free with New School ID. Broadway and Movie Theater Discounts These may be available to faculty from Student Leadership & Involvement UnionPlus Many benefits and discounts, including Life Insurance, are available from UnionPlus.
